Kim Byung-Man, set to remarry in September, shared pictures of his wife and two kids during an appearance on TV CHOSUN, which was broadcasted on the 25th.
Kim Byung-man, who has recently revealed his decision to remarry following the emotional challenges of a divorce case, said, “I feel personally really thrilled with my new wife; she takes care of me.” He mentioned seeking significant mental stability and having found someone who provides just that. “There isn’t anyone else,” he added. “At the point when I was feeling down, I thought, ‘She’s the only one who can help me rise out of this situation.'” expressing his feelings.
Kim Byung-Man, who struggled with the process of getting a divorce, submitted his initial marriage certificate in 2010. However, “we have been involved in something since 2012.” He stated, “It’s all my decision, so it could be considered my failure.” He described himself as being in a significant emotional low during that period, reflecting thoughtfully on his first marriage.
He stated, “I had to remain passive since I was a journalist; how much could the audience comprehend? How much did I need to convince them to accept it?” “Without a camera around, things were extremely strict. I was staying with my mom. However, once he got married, he immediately sent his mother away,” he admitted.
Kim Byung-man said, “After marriage, the most difficult issue was financial difficulties. He requested full control over finances, which meant he held all official documents and residence certificate copies.” The only bank book she saw was related to payment for performances. She didn’t have access to any other accounts, as her passwords had been altered. She visited the bank to file a complaint, retrieve her banking password, and check her balance, but found out that her debit card limits were surpassed. His former wife possessed a card with a monthly spending cap between 20 to 30 million won, used it regularly, and frequently took out cash each month.
Kim Byung-Man said, “Those close to me often ask, ‘Why did you surrender the public certification?’ Not handing it over feels really distressing.” He mentioned feeling as though he had been continuously urging someone to take the public certification himself, finally saying, “Just leave me be.” He experienced many emotional ups and downs throughout this process. This disagreement lasted for several decades, consisting of multiple similar disputes up until 2019,” he admitted.
Kim Byung-man said, “Every holiday, my mother would cry and mourn because of this.” I’m already stuck in it, so I’ve been avoiding contacting my mom lately. “I don’t speak softly or hide things; instead, I openly express strong opinions. And since I stopped reaching out, the time apart has just kept growing.”
Kim Byung-man stated during the divorce case, “Did you really make nothing else?” Everyone responded, “Where is everyone?” When he injured his back in 2017 and was hospitalized in the United States, he questioned, “Don’t you think I should visit my wife?” He never came. Now it’s time to question whether he will become incapacitated or not. At that point, he had life insurance, and if he had passed away, he would have gained significant profit,” he mentioned.
Regarding why Kim Byung-man remained married instead of divorcing, he went through eight rounds of comedy auditions. How did you end up with this chance? Kim Byung-man reached an impasse following his struggles and concluded, “I don’t need to air it out.” Following a three-year legal battle for divorce, he was officially granted one. I believed I’d perish without it.
He stated, “I was in such a state, but it was my present wife who helped me through it.” He also mentioned, “I was close to dying in the desert. At that moment, I not only found still water, but also came across a bottle of bottled water. I simply pulled it from the fridge. That’s what he’s like these days,” he chuckled, speaking about his cherished wife.
