The upcoming store will have just one level, where visitors can enter from one side and proceed directly towards the exit. To assist shoppers in moving swiftly throughout the establishment, a continuous ride-on, step-off conveyor belt system will be installed, as suggested by customer input aimed at cutting down on walk times. Positioned centrally within the shop will be the dining area, complete with an express conveyor belt designed specifically for patrons who wish to dine without covering the whole retail space.
Even with the layout modification, the store will keep IKEA’s characteristic windowless design.
