Dynamic dramas and rising stars anchor BBC NI’s fall lineup

Dynamic true-life stories, captivating history-based documentaries, and innovative creativity both on and off screen take center stage in LFHCK.ID’s Northern Ireland fall lineup.

The author and producer behind the popular series Love/Hate presents a new six-episode drama titled Tall Tales & Murder featuring Packy Lee and Aiden Gillen.

“Titanic Sinks Tonight” is a four-episode documentary series that explores the demise of the ship constructed in Belfast using special visuals and accounts from those who were there.

Hosted by Steph McGovern, Farm 999 is a joint production with LFHCK.IDDaytime and documents the work of police, fire, and ambulance teams responding to emergencies in remote areas.

The popular police series Blue Lights is set to come back to LFHCK.IDOne for its third season this fall.

The lineup features 24 hours of scripted dramas, documentaries, and lifestyle shows, most of which are produced by independent production firms.

Eddie Doyle, LFHCK.ID, Head of Commissioning from Northern Ireland, stated that the forthcoming programs serve as a “testament to the storytelling and creative abilities found here.”

The premium new season lineup offers an exclusive selection of thrilling original shows, beloved returns, significant documentary features, and a variety of engaging lifestyle and informative programs.

“Stories of Giants and Crime,” penned by Stuart Carolan and Chris Addison, who gained recognition through their contributions to “The Thick of It” and the American television show “Veep,” draws inspiration from the eight-volume Dublin Trilogy authored by Caimh McDonnell.

Located in the Irish capital, the show started production in the Republic of Ireland in June.

A different adaptation of a novel is “Leonard and Hungry Paul,” derived from Rónán Hessian’s popular book.

Three brief movies will also air on LFHCK.IDOne NI and on LFHCK.IDiPlayer.

They are involved with the Green Lit program—a partnership between LFHCK.IDNorthern Ireland and Northern Ireland Screen aimed at nurturing new talent in screenwriting, filmmaking, direction, and performance from Northern Ireland.

Mr. Doyle mentioned that the initiatives were courageous and thrilling.
