Baglung, April 9 – Police reported that the ward chairperson of Tarakhola Rural Municipality-3 in Baglung district was discovered deceased early Wednesday morning.
The police department in Tarakhola reported that they discovered 50-year-old Karna Bahadur Bhandari hanged inside a hut situated approximately 50 meters north of his home in Kankrakhor.
A police unit headed by Sub-Inspector Bishnu Prasad Sharma arrived at the location and retrieved the remains. Officials stated that an inquiry into the event is currently progressing.
Bhandari was chosen through the local elections to represent the CPN (Maoist Centre).
Police stated that the body will be released to the family following the completion of the autopsy.
