Addis Ababa, April 5, 2025 (POA)— A panel discussion is currently taking place at Jimma University, hosted by Ethiopia’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA). The event focuses on the 2025 BRICS Think Tanks Council (BTTC) document.
The talks conducted under the theme: “Ethiopian Expert Organizations: Insights from BRICS for National Ambitions.”
The BRICS Think Tanks Council serves as an arena where scholars, academics, and research institutions can share insights. It organizes the BRICS Academic Forum and offers policy suggestions and direction to the leaders of BRICS nations for their review.
The BTTC includes the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA) from Brazil, the National Committee for BRICS Research (NRC/BRICS) from Russia, the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) from India, the China Council for BRICS Think Tank Cooperation (CCBTC) from China, and the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS) from South Africa.
As more nations have become part of the BRICS group, additional think tanks and research institutions from different countries continue to join the BRICS Think Tanks Council.
