The television series featuring actor Lim Yoon-ah titled “The Tyrant’s Chef” dominated the Netflix global TV rankings just two days following its launch.

As per FlixPatrol, an international OTT platform rankings website, tvN’s weekend drama “The Tyrant’s Chef” topped charts in 41 nations worldwide the previous day and also secured the number one position on Netflix’s global television series list.

This marks a two-position improvement from the third spot in the initial rating (23 nations), which was documented the prior day, with the overall rank increasing from 695 to 794. “Chef of the Tyrants” has experienced a significant jump in positions within Bangladesh, Egypt, Hong Kong, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco, and Singapore. In South Korea and internationally, it climbed from ninth to second place. The Netflix original show featuring Lee Ha-nee and Bang Hyo-rin leads the local television series chart.

In the meantime, “Chef of a Tyrant” is a survival fantasy romantic comedy-drama centered around a cook who travels back in time and encounters the monarch, the most oppressive ruler with unparalleled culinary preferences. This upcoming movie is helmed by director Jang Tae-yu, known for successful historical series like “Flower Garden of the Wind,” “Deep Rooted Tree,” “Hongcheongi,” and “Flowers Blooming at Night.” The film has drawn interest due to being the initial love story featuring actress Lim Yoon-ah and rising star Lee Chae-min.

Audience numbers have consistently increased since the show’s initial airing. As per Nielsen Korea’s data, the second episode of “The Tyrant’s Chef,” which was shown on the 24th, achieved a 6.6% rating across homes throughout the country. This marks an increase of 1.7 percentage points compared to the first episode’s viewership rate of 4.9%, which signaled strong interest.

In the meantime, the weekend drama “The Tyrant’s Chef” broadcasted on tvN premieres every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m.
