Punjab’s Information Minister Azma Bukhari reaffirmed her dedication to removing indecency from theaters and offering entertainment suitable for families, asserting that she will not waver in her resolve.
On Sunday, Bukhari released a statement where she declared that she wouldn’t be swayed by intimidation tactics, stating firmly, “Nobody can coerce me. My resolve remains strong to eliminate obscenity and encourage wholesome, family-friendly content.”
The minister disclosed that a fresh theater policy will soon be unveiled, aimed at addressing non-compliance among theater proprietors with regard to rules and standard operating procedures.
She observed that the government had granted theatre owners a year-long extension to comply with healthier entertainment guidelines; however, numerous venues continued to violate these regulations, thus denying families access to appropriate programming.
The administration remains steadfast on delivering high-quality entertainment.
“We’ve received favorable feedback from the public as we strive to remove lewdness and profanity from stage plays, theaters, and movies,” Bukhari stated.
