A flight attendant has clarified why you should keep your shorts in your luggage.

As summer approaches, the time for wearing shorts is also fast approaching.
However, wearing your favorite shoes for your upcoming flight might be a significant error, as revealed by a flight attendant.

To caution travelers about showing their legs during a flight.
The flight attendant remarks: “One can never tell how clean the seats might be—so if you happen to wear trousers, you’ll likely come into contact with fewer germs.”
And trousers aren’t the only type of attire you might wish to steer clear from when boarding your upcoming flight.
According to another flight attendant, sliders (slide-on sandals), flip-flops, and high heels are strictly prohibited as well.

I strongly recommend avoiding high heels, flip-flops, or any sandals, primarily for safety reasons.
If an evacuation occurs and slides are needed, you must remove your high heels because they could puncture the slide.
Airlines typically alert travelers in the pre-flight safety video that they must take off their high heels before using the emergency slide.
Additionally, another aviation specialist has recommended that travelers refrain from taking off their shoes during flights altogether.

If you manage to exit the aircraft, the ground could be extremely hot or freezing, possibly coated with oil or ablaze, and even if you land in a cornfield, being without shoes would not be ideal.
Travelers could similarly face risks if they walk around with bare feet on an unclean airplane floor after taking off their shoes.
