Adelabu and Oyebanji Lead Energy Awards in Lagos

At this year’s Energy Times Awards in Lagos, honours will be bestowed upon notable figures including the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu; the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji; and his peer from Gombe State, Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya.

The occasion set for April 11 aims to honor both individuals and organizations that have significantly improved peoples’ lives through their contributions, particularly within the realm of the energy industry.

The organizers revealed that Adelabu will head the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry delegation at the event.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the Chairman of Dangote Group, is set to receive the Life Achiever of the Year Award.

The honorees include the CEO of Nigeria’s Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Farouk Ahmed; the Group Managing Director of Sahara Group, Dr. Kola Adesina; the Chairperson of Mojec International, Mrs. Mojisola Abdul; as well as several others.

“Four individuals from the oil sector who have excelled in their respective fields will receive Excellence Awards. These honorees include Engr. Wole Ogunleye, the Chairperson of PETAN; Mr Olufemi Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer at NNPC Limited; Professor Billy Okoye, the Executive Chairman of Raffles Energies Ltd.; and Mr Andy Odeh, the former General Manager for External Relations and Sustainable Development at Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Company,” the announcement stated.
