Ghana will organize a three-day Public Relations Conference along with the IPRA Golden World Awards Ceremony, supported by President John Dramani Mahama, who is also a member of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) in Ghana and the Africa Public Relations Association (APRA).

Hosted by IPR, Ghana, in collaboration with the African Public Relations Association (APRA) and the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), this landmark gathering will be held from Wednesday, October 1st, through Friday, October 3rd, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre in Ghana. It aims to bring together international figures in the fields of communications, artificial intelligence, mining, development, policymaking, and technological advancement.

With the theme “Global Realities and Innovative Communication,” the conference will examine how strategic communication is changing due to worldwide changes, placing significant focus on promoting Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Africa’s growth and using efficient communication strategies to tackle the problem of Galamsey.

By engaging in expert dialogues, real-world examples, and specialized workshops, attendees will acquire knowledge and resources to manage evolving trends in communication and technology. The event will further explore how communication can help confront pressing ecological challenges, such as the severe effects of unlawful mining (Galamsey) on Ghana’s localities and natural environments. Additionally, the conference features exhibits and voluntary historical sightseeing trips, providing an extensive mix of career-related and cultural experiences.

He will be accompanied by notable local leaders, such as the Minister of Communications, Digital Technologies, and Innovation, Sam Nartey George; the Minister of Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu; and the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, who will each provide specific speeches centered around the theme of the event. Additionally, ministers responsible for communications from various African nations will participate, enhancing discussions across the continent regarding innovation, effective promotion of artificial intelligence for Africa’s growth, and utilizing communication strategies for environmental initiatives.

Additional notable speakers are Mr. Jan Eissfeldt, Director and Global Head of Trust and Safety at the Wikimedia Foundation, along with Emmanuel Lubanzadio, who leads initiatives in Africa for OpenAI, as well as other prominent professionals from fields such as public relations, policymaking, and technological innovation.

Additionally, special comments at the event will be provided by Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah, President of IPR, Ghana, and CEO of Stratcomm Africa; Mr. Arik Karani, President of the African Public Relations Association (APRA); and Ms. Nataša Pavlović Bujas, President of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).
